Greys & white epoxy flake (F-9307 Schist)

Capture the sleek, silvered, and mineral-bright aesthetic of natural metamorphic stone with Concrete Floor Supply’s F-9307 Schist flake. Inspired by the crystalline, layered shine of natural schist rock, this blend features a balanced palette of cool light greys, medium slate tones, and bright white highlights. Designed to deliver an ultra-clean, modern, and stone-like appearance, Schist brings bright sophistication and visual depth to any space without the high cost or demanding upkeep of polished natural stone.

These decorative vinyl chips broadcast evenly into your resinous base coat to yield a seamless, uniform, and textured finish. Beyond its luminous, contemporary aesthetic, Schist flake creates a high-performance surface that significantly enhances the overall strength, slip resistance, and durability of your floor.

Here’s how Schist flake can transform your space:
Ideal for garages, basements, workshops, commercial retail spaces, and automotive showrooms. Create a bright, spacious, and highly professional atmosphere that easily withstands heavy foot and vehicular traffic.
Provides a cost-effective alternative to terrazzo or polished concrete. Replicate a multi-toned, light grey aggregate stone look that effortlessly brightens up plain concrete floors.
Hides subsurface imperfections and daily wear. The dense, light-toned variegated pattern is excellent at concealing minor concrete flaws, hairline cracks, dust, and daily wear-and-tear.
Improves traction and safety. The textured profile of the flakes provides essential slip resistance, enhancing safety underfoot in wet or high-traffic areas.
Easy to maintain and clean. Once sealed with a high-performance clear topcoat (such as Poly 90), this seamless, low-VOC surface resists chemical staining, oil, and grease, keeping maintenance to a simple wipe-down or mop.

Available in convenient package sizes, Concrete Floor Supply’s Schist flake lets you customize your space to your exact preference.

Question: What is the best base coat product to broadcast flake into for a “full flake” application?
Answer: Our Polybase 98 and Poly 90 are our two most popular products to broadcast flake into. You can also use our Epoxy Flow 100 product lines.

Question: How many pounds of flake do I need to cover my floor in flake for “full coverage”?
Answer: We recommend using 10-12% of the sqft of your floor to figure lbs/sqft. Example: If you have 900sqft *.10 = 90lbs of flake. Never short yourself on ordering flake. Minimizing the amount of flake you need may result in project delays as it may be necessary to recoat your concrete floor in order to broadcast additional flake.

Question: Can I use these flakes with other coating products like Rustoleum?
Answer: We have customers that use our flakes with all kinds of other coating products. Unfortunately, we are not familiar with other coating applications and are not able to answer questions related to those product lines. If you would like a premium floor coating product, we would be happy to speak with you in regards to our professional line of coating products.

Question: Are there additional color options of flake that I do not see on the website?
Answer: Yes, we offer custom colors as well. You can send us a picture of a flake color and we can match that with a sample or you could create your own custom blend from any of our solid colors.
