Pre-Application Assessment & Preparation
1. PREP: One of the key components is to ensure that the surface is free from sealers, dirt, oils, glues and other contaminants.
a. A few methods for properly preparing the concrete are:
i. Using a lower grit (30 to 120 grit works on this system) metal bond diamond tool on a 3 headed planetary grinder with a vacuum and grinding dry
ii. Use a our Concrete DNA Satellite pad (30 grit) 1. 1. Also use our Super Blue liquid floor prep and clean water rinse.
Note: When using water to prep, allow the floor to dry a minimum of 24 hours before applying coating.
2. Apply Super Prime: Mix Super Prime by drill mixing. Mix in the appropriate amount of WB Pigment (1 unit of Water Based pigment per 2 gallons)
Apply the product to the floor by dipping and rolling out of a pan. Use a ⅜” nap roller cover. Coverage rates for dipping and rolling are approximately 300 sq ft per gallon depending on the porosity and surface prep method. Don’t allow to pool in low areas. Super Prime is able to be coated over when the surface is tack free and able to be walked on without forming an impression and within the recoat window.(typically 4-12 hours). If exceeding the maximum recoat window of 12 hours Super Prime must be screened with 220 or coarser screen on a buffer and wiped clean to ensure adequate adhesion of the next coat.
3. Apply WB Urethane Gloss: Mix WB Urethane Gloss by drill mixing (refer to product data for each products mixing instructions). Mix in the appropriate amount of WB Pigment (1 unit of WB Pigment per 2.5 gallon kit) Apply the product to the floor by dipping and rolling out of a pan if the floor is saw cut into squares. This product can also be poured on the floor in ribbons and spread evenly as you back yourself out. It is important to get even coverage on the floor to avoid roller marks. Use an 18”, ⅜” nap roller cover. Application rate is around 300 – 400 sqft per gallon
